SHS also offers a unique partnership with Front Range Community College of Longmont that allows students to take college-level classes at the high school for both high school and college credit at no cost to the students. Courses may be taken in Physical Anthropology, Art History, Astronomy, Macroeconomics, English Composition, French Language, Music Appreciation, Public Speaking, and General Psychology.
Skyline High School houses the Vance Brand Civic Auditorium (VBCA). It was completed in 1979 with a capacity of over 1300 people in the upper and lower seating. VBCA is named for Longmont's famed astronaut, Vance Brand and is the cultural venue to many productions. It is the only theater in the district with state-of-the-art acoustics and lighting that can be used on a daily basis by students (classes, school plays, or assemblies) as well as by outside performances like Longmont Symphony Orchestra.
